Kids Love Gardening! How to get your kids involved in Spring Planting.

First let them turn up the soil and get it  ready to plant your flowers (or vegis). You should tell them how this is to generate air in the soil. If the dirt is too hard the roots will not be able to grow properly. You can add a bag of potting soil if you like. It's alot easier to dig and has alot of nutrients too!

GARDENING IS FUN FOR KIDS AND IS A GREAT LEARNING  OPPORTUNITY FOR THEM!

Then tell them to pick out all of the sticks, roots and clods if their is any.
They will also prevent the flowers from growing to their full potential.
After the soil is prepared then they can dig the holes to place the flowers in.
Not too deep now, we want them to fit in just right!
How they arrange  the flowers doesn't have to be perfect. After all
It's their project and it looks beautiful to them! HAVING FUN YET?

Now they are ready to carefully remove the plant out of the
carton and place it in the ground. Tell them to push the plant
up from the bottom so they don't tear the root ball
. Now Plant!
This is such an easy project and they appreciate the time with Mom!

Once the flower is in place they can cover the roots
with soil. When they are done they should press it in
and secure the plant firmly in the ground! Almost done!

                                  Now water and enjoy!
Their all all kinds of gardening tools out there you can get for kids.
But they will use spoons, cups or anything you have to dig and plant.
It is a great joy for children to experience nature and gardening. They
love to discover new things and see how things grow. Don't have a garden?
Plant a bean seed in a cup and watch it grow indoors! That is a fun project.
Whatever you do, get out and enjoy yourself this Spring. I hope you
enjoyed our photos as much as we enjoyed taking them for you!
