Why do we charge for Basic Membership?

J.C. Moms of Texas has always been a "free" group. However, we have many more opportunitys for Moms than ever before. The Moms boutique, improved message boards, and other features of the website. Plus we are reaching out to more Moms in the area through advertising and other avenues. Other "Moms Groups" are charging membership fees and we feel as though less than a $1 a month is a fair price to ask of our members. It is a small way everyone can help to reach more people and grow our group.

Why do we charge for Advertising?
We would like to give everyone a chance to afford to advertising. It is a personal passion of mine (the editor) to help small businesses and or see them succeed. I could have filled this website with useless ads from outside companys. That is what most people do to pay for their website hosting and domain charges. But i don't think that is what our members want to see. They want to know about businesses or oppurtunitys in THEIR area. People who are connected to them in the community.
Also, we do alot of advertising for you! We send out circulars to schools, and day cares and businesses. Plus other means of advertising that keeps your business getting constant exposure. We are counting on members to tell there friends about this website .It is a great thing to have a circle of friends that you can count on to vent and share your daily life experiences with.
Do we do banner exchanges only?
The cost for Basic Network memberships and Premium Network Memberships offer more than a banner exchange. 2-3 line ads on the site and all outgoing communications. Plus advertising on our circulars, free webpages ect.. However, we do offer a Banner Exchange page where members and non members can take banners to add to their site. Plus leave their banners for us to post on the Banner Exchange page. However we do not list these banners anywhere else unless you are a member. Do i have to participate in play dates or other activities?
| No. you are not expected to make every play date or outing.There is no pressure to do anything that you don't want to do. We do not harass our members in any way. We simply offer various oppurtunitys for play dates and other outings.You can be a member without making any commitments to the groups. But we do like to have the oppurtunity to meet all of our members and build relationships as often as possible face to face. We ask that you participate in the boards on a daily or weekly basic. It is the life line of what we do. Also if you do commit to attend a play date or outing or special event. We ask that you honor your commitment and or contact the leader of the group the day before. Noone likes to be stood up! If we have a group of members who are willing to meet on a regular basis (once or twise a month) plus meet up on the boards. The group will thrive and grow. It's up to all of us to make Johnson County Moms of Texas the best group around! I know we can do it! |
How can i be a group leader and make extra income?

If you would like to start a group of interest or play group. You must be a active member of the group for no less than 3 months.
An active member means that you contribute to the message boards on a regular basis. Attend play dates or events on a consistant
basis. We need to know that you can maintain a group and be consistant in making the commitment. We only ask group members to meet once a month. I would like to teach other Moms how to...
|
If you would like to teach a special class or seminar on a subject. Like Sign Language for toddlers, or dance instruction,Health or any hobby that you have a wealth of knowledge on. Please contact us. We might be willing to offer these classes as part of J.C. Moms of Texas. We will process the fees on the website and help you advertise and choose location ect.. We charge partial fees that will discuss upon approval.
